LEGAL NOTICE OF HEARING AS TO ZONING REQUEST CONCERNING PROPERTY TO BE LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF BALDWIN, GEORGIA
Notice is given that the Mayor and Council of Baldwin, Georgia, shall conduct a public hearing as to the application of Cook Construction and Real Estate to amend the zoning map of the City of Baldwin, Georgia in order to have a zoning designation under the Baldwin Zoning Ordinance as to property owned by Joshua and Heather Griffin, Joni Shoup and Vickie Whitmire, Shelia Sims Hovater, JVW Enterprise Georgia, LLC, and being Tax Map Parcels 048 022, 050 047B, 048 023, 048 023A, and 048 024, which are to be annexed and located within the corporate limits of the City of Baldwin, Georgia, and to have the zoning classification of Highway Business (HB) (and currently located within the unincorporated area of Habersham County and having the zoning classifications of Agriculture (AG) and Low Intensity (LI)).
The public hearing will be held at the Baldwin Police Precinct, Municipal Courtroom, 155 Willingham Avenue, Baldwin, Georgia at 6:00 p.m. on February 3, 2026.
A copy of the zoning request, the plat for the property, and the Baldwin Zoning Ordinance are available for inspection at the City Hall at 186 Highway 441, Baldwin, Georgia. You are invited to attend the public hearing of the City Council and give comments as to the proposed amendments to the zoning map. The City Council shall take action on the zoning application at the public meeting of the City Council to be held at the Baldwin Police Precinct, Municipal Courtroom, 155 Willingham Avenue, Baldwin, Georgia at 6:00 p.m. on February 17, 2026.
